This dragonfly fairie lady is made as follows:
As with all our dolls, all the pieces were made of porcelain slip, fired at 1245 ° C. It measures 29 cm high and has 18 joints: simple joints at the neck, torso, hips, ankles and wrists; and double joints in elbows and knees. The bust is 02 medium and the hip is number 01 of our catalog. The head is the number 01, limited edition.
You can see more photos of this doll in our facebook albums, including some that were taken in the New Year: https://www.facebook.com/paulinagravagno/media_set?set=a.967314696659753.1073741926.100001436942309&type=3

The painting was made with acrylics in several translucent layers and all the fine details were painted with a very small brush by hand with details in pencil and pastels. The work is protected with satin lacquer spray. The joints are lined with synthetic leather to prevent chafing.
The hair is soft mohair, dyed in two mixed red and pale orange tones. You can wash and comb it with normal hair products. You can use a hairdryer but iron is not recommended because it is a very fine and delicate hair.
The wings were printed on translucent paper and details were added with watercolors, pencils, gold paint and glitter for enhancement. They are lacquered and reinforced with aluminum wire. Then they are inserted into two holes in the back of the doll.
The crown is made with brided wire, with fabric roses enhanced with golden acrilic and glitter, and beaded ornaments.
No comercial casts or impressions of any kind were used in the making of this doll, we make our own molds from original pieces modeled for us. All work is entirely handmade and unique. Due to the handmade nature of this work we never make two exactly equal dolls. This doll also includes a handmade wooden stand and a Certificate of Authenticity signed and dated.
