Two new dolls are available now, Meiko Pearl (the redhead one) and Malena Chloè (the one with auburn hair ) you can see the details and more pictures of each one in the links below. I have included also some comparison pictures of all of them.
I have also listed the information for to made by request the Malena Angelus in our online stores. Made to order dolls would be avaialble for February of 2020.  Angelus is sold and it is traveling right now to her new home :)

Doll process, ready for bisque fire!

Ready for bisque fire! These are some more pieces included in the kiln loading; the heads are all Nubias but the first two were resculpted. The engraved pieces are for a Mermaid, it were too much more complicated than expected to make such a surface and more refining will be made after softfired, but I feel very satisfied with it.  Now the kiln is complete. Soon there will be more pictures of what will be upcoming!

Sculpting an Art Nouveau porcelain mermaid doll

Trying some Art Nouveau motiffs on a mermaid tail , this is just one side, the other is still blank. The porcelain is bone dry, it is chalky and very fragile. I like to do most of the sculpting at this stage, but more refining will be made afer bisque fire.

September kiln loading

Chloè heads on process. We are currently making the loading or the kiln and there are several dolls being made at the same time. Most of the pieces will be sanded after bisque fire, but many things are worked on the greenware stage, as heads and hands. It is a little overwelhming to have so many unfinished dolls on the shelves but this part of the process allows me to explore the possibilities of each sculpt. I like to gather them in my desk and to see what each one is going to be. Sometimes is just the way the light touchs them when they are rough from the mold for to suggest what they want to be. At the right of the picture you can see how they look when pulled form the mold; the four on the left are in different stages of sculpting.

Luna Faery forest spirit

Tiny Meiko mold with modified Chloè head; she measures 30 cms. tall. The wigs are magnetic, made in mohair. The crown is made with lace and a metallic filigree, handembroidered with glass beads, synthetic pearls and chzeck crystals; it stands on the head with a magnet. The dress is entirely hand sewn with pieces of several different laces and then embroidered with round and faceted tornasol glass beads and synthetic pearls. The doll is made with1245 C degrees porcelain , painted with acrylics and protected with satin lacquer. The tattoo is handpainted with an original design, is not a transfer. The joints are protected with natural leather. The doll has 18 joints and it is assembled with elastic cords. Includes her own stand and certificate. She is engraved in the back of her head with her sculpt date and her name, "Luna"
